Let me just go ahead and say that this is such a fun look! I immediately felt like it was time to go out on an adventure or try something new when I put these pieces together LOL! But seriously, this is a perfect “going out for the day” outfit on the weekend. It’s been up and down in the temps in January so far (single digits and then the 60’s!), but what can I say — that’s Virginia for ya! If you don’t like the weather, just wait a few days LOLOL.
ABOUT THIS LOOK…
Midi skirts have grown on me little by little because at first I thought they were the “awkward” length, but now I appreciate how different they are and love them (plus, there are tons of various styles of midi skirts to pick from now). If you are planning on investing in one, treat it like anything else: sneakers pair nicely with them for a casual look, flats for a business casual look, and heels to dress it up.
This cold shoulder sweater is too fun! I found it on clearance at the good ole’ American Eagle Outfitters and as soon as I tried it on, I knew it was going to be a winter staple for me. Though thin, it is extremely warm with the tight fit and the open shoulder provides a playful touch that’s unique from “your basic sweater.”
And y’all know sneakers are my favorite (see other ways I’ve styled them here and here). Nathan and I are actually that couple that matches occasionally, and he purchased a pair of Adidas, too — because why not?!
